Original abstractA dishwasher which uses a high voltage DC motor to drive a pump. The dishwasher cleans dishes and cooking and eating utensils by the use of a high pressure water spray driven by an electric pump which circulates water. The DC motor may have a built in motor controller to allow the motor to have a soft start, multiple speeds, smooth ramping between speeds and load control. This allows for an energy efficient system and noise prevention.
