Original abstractAn improved support element for a shelf divider, label, and sign holder system. The support element includes a substantially U-shaped rigid plastic shell which may be adhesively affixed to the upper surface of a shelf to support a shelf divider. The support element includes elongated flexible ridges or beads within a support element channel, the free ends of which are spaced from and face the interior surface that defines the channel. The ridges are compressible to exert a gripping force on the item to be retained. The support element can also be part of a label and sign holder system. Both a single and double-facing support element is provided to interact with a label holder locking strip.
