Original abstractA weighing system for a travel baa for measuring and indicating the weight of the bag and/or its contents. The travel bag weigh system has two or three weight sensors and means to add together the weights sensed by them, and a single substantially rigid platform borne by the said weight sensors. The travel bag weighing system is built into the bag internally or externally, or being adapted to be placed into an existing said bag. The weight sensors project from the bag, measure and indicates its weight when empty and simultaneously indicates a normal maximum weight set by airlines. The system has a control and indicating digital unit located and/or visible outside the bag. The digital unit has a line of control means and a line of indicators, in differently coloured groups, which light up progressively towards the maximum weight, which can be preset or user-set and has a vocal indicator. The travel bag weighing system may also contain a measuring part internal of the bag and the bag tapers upwardly.
